Science in Action – 5th & 6th Class Assembly
This week, 5th and 6th Class wowed us with their Science Assembly all about plants! Students worked in groups to explore topics such as photosynthesis, transpiration, and the life cycle of an oak tree.
Fingal Athletics League
We are incredibly proud of our school athletics team who took part in the Fingal League Athletics event in Porterstown in March and April. A huge congratulations to the team members who have qualified to participate at ALSAA Sports Complex this May!
Fingal Football League
Well done to our school football team who took part in the Fingal League this season! ⚽
They have been an absolute credit to the school, showing incredible effort, determination, and sportsmanship every step of the way. We’re so proud of everything they’ve achieved!
Green House Project – Planting Peas
Spring has sprung, and so has our excitement in the classroom! As part of our ongoing Green House project, the children rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty planting garden peas. With great care and big smiles, each child placed their seeds into soil-filled pots, ready to nurture them over the coming weeks.
Winner of the Mr. Mooney Shield 2025
Congratulations to Oisín Daly who won the Mr. Mooney Shield Swimming Competition for 2025. St. Margaret’s N.S. retired principal, Mr. Mooney and last years winner Michael Stankevics was delighted to present the coveted shield to him in person. Well done to all the children who participated.
Parents’ Association Easter Fundraising Week & Raffle
From the 7th – 11th April our school’s Parents’ Association is running an Easter Activities fundraiser & Raffle.
€6 per child covers entry to Easter egg hunt and two guessing games. Parents can now pay on Aladdin. The PA are also selling raffle tickets for a bumper Easter raffle.
Book-keeping:
Extras outstanding from the start of the school year should be paid to the teacher/office as soon as possible.
The Board of Management wishes to thank those of you who have already paid the Voluntary Contribution and also to those who have set up a Standing Order arrangement which includes the payment of the voluntary contribution. We hope even more families will set up standing orders for the next school year.
The suggested contribution for this school year is €100 per family.
Swimming:
Swimming for 1st and 2nd Class commenes Wed 2nd Oct for 6 weeks – pool is close Wed 16th Oct so no swimming that day. -Hats are compulsory – No hat – No swim – €50 to be paid to class teacher before 2nd Oct.
Cash for Clothes
There is a cash for clothes collection on Wednesday 16th Oct. Please leave bags at front shelter on the morning of the collection. This is a simple and easy way to raise funds for our school.. Please spread the word to friends and family.
