Congratulations to Pippa who won the Mr. Mooney Shield Swimming Competition for 2022. St. Margaret’s N.S. retired principal, Mr. Mooney was delighted to present the coveted shield to her in person. Well done to all the children who participated.

The children came up with their own slogans and colourful posters to promote the importance ‘being active’. They came up with so many creative ideas and the overall winner was Zoe Madigan in Third Class who came up with the slogan ‘Put Down Your Switch and Get On The Pitch’.

This years Active Squad is made up of children from Infants to 6th class. The children in the Active Squad have the busy job of organising fun activities and sports events for the whole school. hey are also responsible for setting up the equipment for our active yards daily as well as acting as playground leaders.

Great fun was had at St Margaret’s NS on Thursday the 7th of April when all the boys and girls from 3rd to 6th class took part in the FAI 5-a-side football tournament. Despite the breezy conditions the students sure made the most of the day.
