Recently senior members of our Green Team attended a Marine Environment Workshop at the Spa hotel in Lucan. The event was hosted by Green Schools and was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance. The students learned about the importance of our ocean environment, the threats it is under and the many ways that we can play our part to ensure our oceans remain a safe and healthy environment for the hundreds of thousands of plants and animals that live there. They also created a wonderful collaborative art piece of a sea turtle. The workshop provided students the opportunity to meet students from other schools and discuss their opinions and ideas. The experience will certainly benefit the boys and girls as they continue working towards their next green flag.
