As we are an active school, every Thursday the children are assigned some active homework. This varies every week and within every class. This year we are using the Daly Exercise+ app to assign homework. Homework tasks involve body weight circuits (no equipment needed) that a child and parent can complete together.
This years raffle was a huge success. A total of €840 was raised for the school. We would like to say a big thank you to the Parents’ Association for organising the prizes and hampers.
Our challenge for Active Week was to get everyone moving. All children in St. Margaret’s N.S. were asked to engage in a minimum of 60 minutes of physical activity each day. The children took part in physical activities throughout the week including; GAA, dancing, tennis, orienteering, relay races, circuits, obstacle course and yoga.
