In February we had a visit from Patrick Jackson. Patrick together with Fingal County Council has set up the Picker Pals Programme. We’re delighted to be chosen to take part. The programme is aimed at inspiring young people to pick up litter and to take care of their environment. Patrick, a children’s author by trade was inspired to do something about litter when he encountered a bird entangled in plastic on the beach. The programme is fun and engaging and is complete with story book characters – The Picker Pals. It even has a catchy jingle on YouTube which you can check out below. The boys and girls showed a great interest and we look forward to hearing all about their litter picking adventures over the next few weeks and months.
