Thanks to the funding received from Dublin Airport Community Fund, we have been able to purchase three new Interactive Whiteboards for our school. Digital technology has now become an integral part of teaching and learning in schools. Digital technology allows pupils access to resources, curriculum materials and educational platforms that are now mandatory for schools in providing a blended learning approach to teaching and learning.
It has been of huge benefit to the teachers and SNAs in the school to have up to date technology to facilitate the pupils’ access to technology, especially since our last whiteboards were over 12 years old and had become extremely slow and could no longer be holding them back The children are now able to develop their computer skills and by having a large interactive whiteboard in the classroom, it allows all children in the class equal access to technology.
