Marine Environment Workshop
Recently senior members of our Green Team attended a Marine Environment Workshop at the Spa hotel in Lucan. The event was hosted by Green Schools and was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance.
Science Week 2022
We celebrated Science Week from the 13th -20th November 2021 and explored the theme of ‘Creating our Future’ which is a continuation of last year’s theme. All classes really enjoyed tuning into the Curious Minds Shows throughout the science week and investigating various topics.
Anti-Bullying Week 2022
Anti-Bullying Week 2022 took place on Monday 14th – Friday 18th November with the theme ‘Reach Out’. The student council organised various activities for the whole school to participate in.
Trick or Treat for Temple Street 2022
As Part of our Green School action plan we are making a big effort to create less waste and use less plastic. During our annual Trick or Treat for Temple Street fundraiser the St Margaret’s Green Team ran a competition encouraging the boys and girls to reuse old costumes and to create costumes from recycled materials.
Active Halloween 2022 – Feel Good Fridays
As part of our Active Halloween Feel Good Fridays initiative the children had lots of fun participating in a Halloween scavenger hunt, skeleton relays, exercise circuits and playground games.
Maths Week 2022
We celebrated Maths Week this year from 17th- 21st October. Ms. Keegan who is our school science coordinator, organised a jam packed week of activities for all classes in our school.
Book-keeping:
Extras outstanding from the start of the school year should be paid to the teacher/office as soon as possible.
The Board of Management wishes to thank those of you who have already paid the Voluntary Contribution and also to those who have set up a Standing Order arrangement which includes the payment of the voluntary contribution. We hope even more families will set up standing orders for the next school year.
The suggested contribution for this school year is €100 per family.
Swimming:
Swimming for 1st and 2nd Class commenes Wed 2nd Oct for 6 weeks – pool is close Wed 16th Oct so no swimming that day. -Hats are compulsory – No hat – No swim – €50 to be paid to class teacher before 2nd Oct.
Cash for Clothes
There is a cash for clothes collection on Wednesday 16th Oct. Please leave bags at front shelter on the morning of the collection. This is a simple and easy way to raise funds for our school.. Please spread the word to friends and family.
