Christmas Cheer Week 2022
The Student Council organised lots of festive activities for Christmas Cheer Week 2022. The schedule for the week included the following festivities.
SEAI Workshop
Recently Claire from the SEAI visited our school. The boys and girls from 1st to 6th class learned all about the different types of energy, where we can find stored energy and also how energy can be changed from one kind of energy to another.
Winner of Mr. Mooney Swimming Shield 2022
Congratulations to Pippa who won the Mr. Mooney Shield Swimming Competition for 2022. St. Margaret’s N.S. retired principal, Mr. Mooney was delighted to present the coveted shield to her in person. Well done to all the children who participated.
Computer Science Week – Hour of Code!
The Hour of Code takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week. This year it took place in December and 5th & 6th Class enjoyed exploring the world of Minecraft with the help of their teacher Mr. Gillic who has a personal interest in java programming language.
Christmas Cheer Week 2022
We are very excited for Christmas Cheer Week 2022. The Student Council have been busy organising festive activities that are sure to spread some Christmas Cheer near and far.
Christmas Fair 2022
Our 2022 Christmas Fair was a huge success raising an incredible €4350 for The Parents’ Association! This event could not have happened without the help and support of so many people.
Book-keeping:
Extras outstanding from the start of the school year should be paid to the teacher/office as soon as possible.
The Board of Management wishes to thank those of you who have already paid the Voluntary Contribution and also to those who have set up a Standing Order arrangement which includes the payment of the voluntary contribution. We hope even more families will set up standing orders for the next school year.
The suggested contribution for this school year is €100 per family.
Swimming:
Swimming for 1st and 2nd Class commenes Wed 2nd Oct for 6 weeks – pool is close Wed 16th Oct so no swimming that day. -Hats are compulsory – No hat – No swim – €50 to be paid to class teacher before 2nd Oct.
Cash for Clothes
There is a cash for clothes collection on Wednesday 16th Oct. Please leave bags at front shelter on the morning of the collection. This is a simple and easy way to raise funds for our school.. Please spread the word to friends and family.
