In late 2021, our school was selected to be part of a Department of Education and Youth project in Ireland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), supported by the European Union through NextGenerationEU funding under its Recovery and Resilience Facility.
This school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.
This funding was used to support children as they returned to school following the COVID-19 pandemic. All pupils in our school were given access to Reading Eggs and Mathletics, educational platforms designed to support learning both at home and in school. In addition, the funding contributed to the setup of Aladdin Connect, an essential platform that enables effective communication between the school and parents. The funding also allowed the school to purchase additional Chromebooks and iPads, ensuring that all children had greater access to digital learning tools.
