National Tree Day 2024
5th & 6th Class planted a Hawthorn tree for National Tree Day. The beautiful Hawthorn Tree was kindly donated by the Tree Council of Ireland. The children learned loads about trees and appreciating the planet we live on.

This year we had a very short Active Week due to a two day school week, but it did not disappoint. On Wednesday 5th June we had our annual school sponsored walk in Malahide Gardens followed by our whole school sports day in St. Margaret’s GAA club on the 6th June. Both events were a great success and all pupils and staff were kept active over these two very enjoyable days.
We are very proud of our girls Gaelic Football team who were winners of the Hughie Smith Shield on 11th June. Girls from four national schools (Kilcoskan, Mary Queen of Ireland, St. Josephs & St. Margarets) participated in this tournament, and as the winning school, we have the honour of housing the Hughie Smith Memorial Shield again this year.
On Wednesday 15th May, St. Margaret’s N.S. welcomed the Sam Maguire cup along with Dublin Minor GAA players, Conor McKenna (past pupil), Josh Kennedy and Amy who plays for the Dublin U16s.
These sofas will be a fantastic addition to our sensory corner. We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the sofas. Despite the delay in delivery, we know they are going to be worth the wait.
