Congratulations to Oisín Daly who won the Mr. Mooney Shield Swimming Competition for 2025. St. Margaret’s N.S. retired principal, Mr. Mooney and last years winner Michael Stankevics was delighted to present the coveted shield to him in person. Well done to all the children who participated.

On the 19th December the school yard was filled with festive cheer as children donned their favourite holiday headgear and danced to the Macarena before sprinting off in a lively Santa Dash.

St. Margaret’s N.S. took part in the “Dare to Believe” programme on Friday 15th of November where we participated in a live webinar via zoom with Olympians such as Kellie Harrington, Phillip Doyle and Dáire Lynch. St. Margaret’s National School celebrated a momentous occasion today as Laura Patton McDonald was crowned the winner of the highly competitive Active Slogan Competition. Her inspiring slogan, *”Get Fit to Get Fast ’cause if you Sit you’ll be Last!”*, stood out among numerous entries from students, encapsulating the essence of an active lifestyle with creativity and enthusiasm.
