As we are an active school, every Thursday the children are assigned some active homework. This varies every week and within every class. This year we are using the Daly Exercise+ app to assign homework. Homework tasks involve body weight circuits (no equipment needed) that a child and parent can complete together. Glen Daly demonstrates the exercises on the app and the children have a virtual timer and complete the exercises within the allocated time. The children are familiar with Glen as he is an external coach who visits our school each year and facilitates HIIT workshops which the children enjoy.
During Active Week in June, written homework is replaced by active homework and active challenges for an entire week and the school uniform is replaced with school PE tracksuit. Click here to view the active challenges assigned by the active squad in June 2021.
