Skip Around the World is a whole-of-school physical activity challenge that promotes movement while offering many in-built teaching and learning opportunities across curriculum areas. This challenge took part over three weeks, from the 6th – 24th October 2025.
During the challenge, students took part in short daily skipping breaks where 1 skip = 1 kilometer. Each class combined their total skips to see which challenge destinations around the world they can reach together. Post-its were then placed on a big poster of the world, displaying all the destinations, classes had reached.
We received new skipping ropes from The Active School Flag and their was great excitement throughout the school as each class took to the yard each day at their scheduled time to participate in the challenge.
This fun and inclusive initiative encourages physical activity, teamwork, and global learning, one skip at a time!
