St. Margaret’s National School Parents’ Association invite you to join them at the school on Friday 10th December from 5pm to 7pm for a Christmas fair fundraiser. Community, friends and family all welcome. We look forward to seeing you there.
As part of our Active Halloween Fun Friday initiative the children participated in Halloween flash mob dances on the last day of school before the midterm. Infants and 1st & 2nd Class had been busy learning the Monster Shuffle dance throughout the week while 3rd – 6th Class learned the Monster Mash dance moves.
CS Consulting which is a Civil & Structural Engineering Company is 10 years old this year. To celebrate this, the Directors of the company have donated 1,000 copies of a beautiful children’s book about structural engineering to 1,000 primary schools around the country.
We would sincerely like to thank the DAA for the funding we received from the Dublin Airport Community Fund towards our new greenhouse. Thanks to our Parents’ Association we have also received funding from the DAA for three eight seater hexagonal picnic benches as part of our outdoor classroom project.
Our challenge for Active Week was to get everyone moving. All children in St. Margaret’s N.S. were asked to engage in a minimum of 60 minutes of physical activity each day. The children took part in physical activities throughout the week including; GAA, dancing, tennis, orienteering, relay races, circuits, obstacle course and yoga.
The children have been enjoying their outdoor weekly dance classes with Keith Groves. Click on the videos below to see some of the dance routines they have been learning.
